Born in a small town of Spain, Remedious Varo is a very gifted and renowned painter. Renaissance art inspired harmony, tonal nuances, unity, and narrative structure in Varo’s paintings. The allegorical nature of much of Varo's work especially recalls the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, and some critics, such as Dean Swinford, have described her art as "postmodern allegory," much in the tradition of Irrealism.

Fredric Edwin Church
Wow !!!!!!!
That's what I felt when I saw his paintings. His paintings are so beautiful that it'll leave you mesmerized. His paintings have a peaceful flow and gives the viewer a soothing feeling. His work is amazing and is appreciable.
His works are all based on nature. He was a man who was deeply in love with nature.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City exhibited The Heart of the Andes in its original frame in 1995-96, together with a number of the supporting studies that Church made on his epic Andean journey. Americans soon began to consider Church the “Michelangelo of Landscape Art” and he became one of the most renowned American artists.

Theodore Jacques Ralli
Theodore Jacques Ralli was a Greek painter. He's a portrait artist and does
include architectural objects in his paintings. They're beautifully done with fine detailing. They're based on people living in Greece, France, Egypt,Turkey,ETC.
After his death he was slowly almost forgotten. It is telling that his name is not even included in the Grove Dictionary of Art. Most of his paintings are still in private collections. Only a few museums ever purchased his works. A few of his paintings were auctioned in the 20th century, but only obtained modest prices. However lately, his paintings have been rediscovered and are being auctioned at prices that are a tenfold of some years ago, fetching prices from 30,000 to 100,000 euros. On 14 November 2007 a study for the painting “Refectory in a Greek Monastery (Mount Athos)” was auctioned at 200,000 euros at Sotheby's in London. But in January 2008, the actual painting “Refectory in a Greek Monastery (Mount Athos)” (1885) was auctioned at the absolute record price of 670,000 euros to a Greek collector at an auction in Ghent, Belgium.
